Multiple exposure layering series (2012)
Here are a few works from my multiple exposure layering series which encompasses the idea of taking multiple photos and layering them together to create a single composition. The idea for creating these alternate realities is usually quite random and are devised as I edit them together, deleting photos out of the final image along the way, changing the order of them, and everything else until they come together seamlessly to form one single image. I’m going to start exploring more possibilites with this kind of thing only instead of photoshop and digital cameras I’m going to head back to using film cameras and darkrooms. It will be much more difficult making these kinds of compositions without the aid of a computer but I think it will be overall beneficial towards my understanding of how to go about making images instead of just snapping away like a crazy person. So with all of that, more to come!
