Balance Lost- 2013
On Behance.
I did some experimenting with photographic series and this is what I came up with. In this sequence I wanted to portray the balance of nature being lost due to an outside source. The string represents a flowing stream and the rock in the stream is supposed to represent perfect balance as the water flows around the rock. The second photo depicts a hand snatching up the rock, and the next photo after that is where the balance of the stream is lost and theres nothing keeping it together. The last photo is the bit of string that remains and thats where I will leave it because I’m terrible at describing things.

Snow pattern- 2013

Not sure if I mentioned it or if you could already tell, but I’ve been working on a series of photographs depicting the cold winter months. I’ve posted quite a few already and more will be posted soon. I didn’t get as much as I wanted but that’s mostly because of mother nature. There were a couple times where the temperature went up to 60 degrees and so in a few days time the snow all but disappeared! Going to shoot more next winter and the one after that, so much more to come!

Darkroom experimentation- 2013
Besides making only straight prints, I’ve also been doing other things too! It’s a lot harder to manipulate things using traditional techniques but I’m starting to get a hang of it. This print was made from 2 negatives, each printed separately on two enlargers and during the first exposure I poured sand onto a see-through glass plate and the result was this distorted kind of image. It’s not exactly what I was going for but it’s heading in the right direction.
